This former 19th century gentlemen's hotel has been transformed and given a new life with a full restoration and conversion to condos in 2011. The Oriental features 32 funky loft style condos with commercial retail space on the street level.
Rebuilt and restored by award winning heritage developer Le Fevre and Co, much of the original building remains today. The original façade looks largely as it would have at the time it was built in 1883. However, the long, tall brick walls are now reinforced with mighty slabs of steel and bring the historical context into the new millennium. Replicated wood windows are thermo paned and all the modern amenities, including hot and cold running water, stainless appliances and laundry, make this much more comfortable than 1883!
